You were probably too self conscious to see Shame in the
cinema earlier this year, so now is your chance to catch Steve McQueen’s
visceral story about a sex-addict whose life is put on hold when his troubled
sister comes to stay with him.
Michael Fassenbender was nominated multiple times last
awards season for his quiet portrayal of Brandon Sullivan, a man trapped by his
own needs and desires, which hinders his ability to form truly intimate
relationships.
Carey Mulligan is his younger sister, Sissy, whose childhood
experiences manifest in an entirely different way to that of her brother.
A bold, arresting film, but the graphic sexual content is
not for everyone.
