Max, Jay, Siva, Nathan and Tom have done the impossible with their debut EP-cracked America.
This self-titled release is a combination of tracks from
their two studio albums, The Wanted (2010) and Battleground (2011).
The boys from The Wanted have won over the infamously
hard-to-please market with their (already a smash in the UK) single Glad You
Came, a pop-dance mega-medley which would do for any self-respecting clubber,
if you ignore the nursery rhyme lyrics and are into unsubtle repetition.
Glad You Came aside, the only other noteworthy track is
Lightening, still clubby with a predictably laser-fuelled, slow-motion music
video to boot, but slightly more mature lyrics and ever so slightly less brash
delivery makes Lightening the most Radio 2 friendly offering.
Almost indiscernible from their teeny-bopper counterparts,
One Direction, if a tiny bit rougher around the edges.
