Meryl Streep’s Oscar-winning turn as the UK’s only
female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, in The Iron Lady is finally available
on DVD.
This affectionate portrayal follows Thatcher from her humble
beginnings as the daughter of a green grocer, her adorable relationship with
her late husband, Denis, her most iconic political moments and the tragedy of
the dementia that has plagued her later years.
Olivia Colman and Jim Broadbent hold their own alongside
Streep’s unsettlingly perfect performance, as Thatcher’s daughter, Carole, and
the ghostly presence of Denis.
