Clive Owen stars in this clever psychological thriller that slipped by almost unnoticed earlier this year, probably due to being written off as another slap-dash horror.
This couldn’t be further from the truth however, with the
film’s main focus being on the unusual relationship between Owen and his
daughter, Mia, who is subjected to repeated home-invasions, and an unexplained
link between his family’s experiences and those of a boy in an entirely
different country.
How are two children who’ve never met having exactly the
same experience? How will they convince others that their nightmarish intruder
is real? What power do their made-up stories have over real-life events? And
what was Mia’s dad’s role in the trauma that caused his daughter to stop
speaking?
