CD - Quartet OST

If you enjoyed the Dustin Hoffman’s charming tale of retired opera singers, Quartet, were especially touched by the music, the good people at BBC Films have teamed with Decca Records and kindly put together a soundtrack for you to relieve the seraphic tunes that so inspired our quartet to harmonise together again.

Along with the expected classical and operatic tracks, they’ve included nostalgic tunes, sung by Trevor Peacock’s (The Vicar of Dibley) character, George, such as Are You Having Any Fun and Gilbert and Sullivan’s, So Please You, Sir, We Much Regret, performed by Valerie Masterson.

The 24 track CD also features pieces from Italian composer, Dario Marianelli’s, original score.  The Oscar winning musician has created memorable work for Anna Karenina, Pride and Prejudice and Atonement, for which he one the Academy Award.
