ITV lived up to their self-awarded
‘Home of Drama’ title this autumn with the post-war,
femme-detective three-part series, The Bletchley Circle, and if you
missed it on TV, you can now catch-up with this original drama on
DVD.
Susan, Millie, Lucy and Jean all worked
as code breakers at Bletchley Park during the war where their already
impressive math, memory and analytic skills were honed to a
militarily devastating, and in the case of Millie, almost
supernatural, level.
Now as they try to return to their
quiet family lives, Susan brings the four of them back together in
the wake of an on-going serial murder case that stumped the police
but seems, to Susan, to follow a distinct pattern that she and the
other Bletchley girls might be able to stop.
