New life has been breathed into one of
Steven Spielberg’s most iconic characters with the release of the
complete Indiana Jones adventures on Blu-Ray.
The original and arguably the best
instalment, Raiders of the Lost Ark, has been painstakingly restored,
frame by frame, under Spielberg’s supervision to preserve the
original look and feel of the film.
Also, The Temple of Doom (the camp one
everyone, including Spielberg, hated) and The Last Crusade (the one
where Sean Connery joins in against the Nazis) have been digitally
remastered and, along with 2008’s Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,
this Blu-Ray release marks the first time all four films have been
available in uber-fan-indulging high definition.
A fifth disc of refreshingly original
extras offers a film-maker’s insight into Indy’s women, the
stunts, on-set ‘Making Of’ footage and the secret behind that
melting face in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
