CD - Fifty Shades of Grey The Classical Album

In the spirit of cashing-in, milking the cow dry and flogging a dead horse, headline-grabbing author, E. L James, has further branched out with the franchise she built off the back of her impossibly successful trilogy, by adding an album of classical music to… explore your fifty shades with, to her pile of branded wares.

James explains the classical pieces featured on the album, which includes performances by the London and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras, Maria Tipo and The Tallis Scholars, inspired her during the writing process, and fans of her books will recognise all of the pieces, which served as backdrops for Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele’s steamy trysts.

Cambridge’s own King’s College Choir pop up among the 14 listed tracks with their ironically angelic rendition of Requiem, Op.48: In Paradisum.
