When Pink stomped on to the scene in
2000 her look was so strong, so of the moment, and so seemingly
desperate to cling to the last remnants of the Girl Power movement of
the late 1990s that she seemed a sure-fire one-hit-wonder.
The release of her sixth studio album,
12 years later, The Truth About Love, disproves all the doubters and
cements her place alongside, and perhaps even above, the recognised
and revered female power-houses in today's market.
Pink can belt it out as well as Rhianna
while suspended from a high wire, flying above her stadium audience,
as well as writing and performing ballads to rival Adele's.
The Truth About Love shows that Pink
continues to explore and improve her song writing talent and further
proves she's here to stay.
She's retained all the gusto,
individuality and rough-edged charm her fans fell in love with 12
years ago.
