Wednesday 15th August, 10pm
If you fancy a cultural release having survived two weeks of
day-in-day-out sports, Sue Perkins presents three editions of The Culture Show
from The Edinburgh Festival, starting next Wednesday.
Sue meets the creators of some of the best theatre, dance,
literature, music and comedy from the Fringe, International, Art and Book
Festivals, including David Hockney and Sir Peter Blake.
A particular highlight promises to be NVA’s large scale,
mass participatory public spectacle, Speed of Light, in which hundreds of
runners in light suits make their way up Arthur’s Seat.
BBC Two are also broadcasting three Friday night programs,
starting on August 17th, in which host, Kirsty Wark, and guests
dissect some of the most successful and more offbeat events and performances of
the festival.
Tune in to both for a comprehensive, intelligent review of Edinburgh’s summer
spectacular.
