If you missed the clever spy-thriller chosen as Bafta’s
‘Best British Film’, then you’re in luck, as Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is
finally available on DVD since its release last September.
Britain’s finest male actors team-up in a faultless ensemble
cast, including Gary Oldman, Colin Firth and John Hurt, as MI6 agents battling
to uncover a Soviet mole in their ranks during the bleak days of the Cold War.
Adapted from John le Carre’s classic spy novel, the
screen-writers have been Oscar nominated for their efforts, as has Gary Oldman,
for his captivating performance as the cold and calculating Smiley.
