DVD - The Woman in Black

If you were too scared to see this adaptation of Susan Hill’s classic modern novel in the cinema, then now is your chance to catch the jump-a-minute supernatural thriller from the comfort of (behind) your own sofa.

Daniel Radcliffe gives a very un-Harry Potter like performance as the sceptic leading male, Kipps, who is charged with sorting the posthumous affairs of a reclusive widower, whose remote marshland house and vengeful spirit strikes fear into the villagers even after her death.

The Woman in Black is a classically made ghost story, complete with creaking doors, creepy dolls, possessed children and a daunting, shadowy figure, who puts the kibosh on any chance of a fairytale ending.
