If you were too scared to see this adaptation of Susan
Hill’s classic modern novel in the cinema, then now is your chance to catch the
jump-a-minute supernatural thriller from the comfort of (behind) your own sofa.
Daniel Radcliffe gives a very un-Harry Potter like
performance as the sceptic leading male, Kipps, who is charged with sorting the
posthumous affairs of a reclusive widower, whose remote marshland house and
vengeful spirit strikes fear into the villagers even after her death.
The Woman in Black is a classically made ghost story,
complete with creaking doors, creepy dolls, possessed children and a daunting,
shadowy figure, who puts the kibosh on any chance of a fairytale ending.
